They call it an Amish barn raising. When the community comes together and as a group accomplishes more than one family ever could alone. While it wasn't barns we were raising, what we did do was a MAJOR accomplishment. It is amazing to me everything everyone got done. Trees cut down, bonfires burned, ditches cleaned, logs cut, yard raked, yard weed-eated, bricks moved, bricks cleaned, mortar mixed, sidewalks laid, pools cleaned, fences fixed, cars started. I am sure the list could go on and on... So for little more than some water, beer, gatorade and a quick lunch at Fat Boys in Grimes my friends and Family came to help. Not because they had to, but because they wanted to. I know I am lucky in my life to know such kind people. So much was accomplished! So I say to each of you Sean, Jamie, Mathew, Paul, Thad, Joe, DeDe, Zac, Dani, Connor, Greyson, Devon, Rusty, Ella (for the hugs) - Thank You. Thank You. A thousand times Thank You! I can never repay you for what you did for my parents, but I will try, all you have to do is ask...

Gone for a while/ water in the basement

You sound like you're from London England! Let's throw another shrimp on the barbie!
Yep, me and Jamie Lou off to England, well She is already there for work, but I am off to *aaahhem* "Jetset" and spend a long weekend with her. Spend the Day and night in London, and then heading up North to see her family that is over there and spend a few days with them. So it should be a great time, and hopefully lead to some nice things to post about.
Here is the question(s) I have for you:
1) what do you call it when you finish mowing and it starts to rain 2 seconds later?
2)what do you call it when you finish mowing and watering the flowers and it starts to rain 2 seconds later?
Story of my life I guess. It poured again, I think I found the source of water in my basement, a gutter that I thought was clean had a plugged downspout, the water was shooting out of the downspout joints, onto the house, into the crack next to the stairs. Got a bit wet (a lot wet) but I think I fixed the water problem.
Well prolly should get some sleep, the Nintendo DS is already charged, the bags are packed and I am ready to go!
